Discovering the website of Nicholas has been a real joy
Rather than quickly browsing his images I found myself being immersed in each series in a surprisingly captivating way.
The galleries consist of a sequence of still images presented in quick succession, fading from one to the next. The experience created is not dis-similar to an animated GIF, but really is of a compelling quality. Check out the galley “Hiemal” to see for yourself.
Also unusual is that many images give the impression of being at sea in the throes of the natural elements, showing nude female forms in the grips of a storm complete with looming clouds.
The images shown here are from the series Pyrrhic, one of several other galleries with equally intriguing names.
